Summer clothes

How lovely and warm is it getting? The summer clothes are starting to come out now, and when you have a growing toddler there is a job of finding the clothes that still fit.

 Due to this I bought some plain coloured T shirts. I had bought some fabric paint on a whim and decided to paint a bunny on this orange T shirt. I had black and gold paint and it came out OK, lets see if it last a wash. I then raided my stash and made a new little skirt. It is a simple rectangle skirt with yellow bias binding on the hem and pocket,

 An action shot, it gets harder taking photos of a child who wont stand still.

 You cant really tell, but the pocket is gathered at the top and is rounded at the bottom.

 I used a handmade with love ribbon as the tag from the Mollie Makes magazine

Mini quilts

I have said it before, but I am really trying now. But I am still getting things made to have a market stall, I even ordered some business cards! I have made 4 little doll quilts, they are a mix of floral and Japanese fabrics. Ruby is really into her dolls and loved putting the blankets on them. She uses a little quilt I made for her when she was a baby.

 Here they all are, none are the same but they have been made with the same fabrics.

 Some of the backs even have vintage sheets.

Little things for girls

The last one of the kiddies in our mothers group turned 2 the other day. So this is what I made her, I have made something for all the kiddos as I think handmade is the best. I made her a cute little bag to carry her things about as she is a real little girl. I also made 2 little hair clips, one is a Yo yo one with buttons and the other is a bow with sequins. Then I made her a little beaded necklace with her name on it.

 A closer look at the hair clips, I am so making more for Ruby I love them.

And more bibs for my little niece, I just need to put the press studs on them.

Flight of the Conchords

I have watched this so many times, and I am sure I will watch it again as it is just too funny. I am such a big fan of Flight of the Conchords and this is their new song for charity "Feel inside (and stuff like that)". The interviews with the kids are the funniest.

Father's Day cakes

Long time no post, I don't know why, I have been busy with other things I suppose. But here we are, and I made BBQ cup cakes for Father's Day. Sausage and egg and then kebabs, a bit cute and yum too.

 I have done a bit of sewing, I made a cover for a folder which I keep all my bits I cut out of magazine before I throw them away. Kind of like an ideas folder/scrap book. When Ruby saw it she said "it's so amazing" I thing she watches too much Angelina Ballerina.

I covered some boxes I bought for 50c each. They were Christmas boxes, but now they look a bit nicer, I love the triangle paper.
